Stone Garden 02

LM386 based audio amplifiers, audio loudspeakers, contact microphones, hanging stones and wires. 2013.

Stone Garden 02 is an installation which uses sound to explore the resonance of physical materials.

Audio speakers and microphones are connected using wires. The amplification level is raised to the point where acoustic feedback is created as a result of the microphone-loudspeaker loop. This feedback is then modulated by muting key points of resonance forming on the wire using alligator clips.

Stone Garden 02 was developed and explored in several configurations during October 2013 while on a funded residency at Compeung arts village in Doi Saket, northern Thailand.
